Dr. Collins completed his orthodontic training at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1986 and has been in practice since that time. He is also an assistant professor in the orthodontic department at Baylor, actively engaged in clinical research and the training of future orthodontists. He is the recipient of the American Association of Orthodontists award, the Dr. Tom Matthews award and the Dr. Robert E. Gaylord award from his peers, and is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Collins publishes and lectures extensively on new technologies in orthodontics.
Dr. Collins is a lifelong resident of northeast Tarrant County. He attended L.D. Bell High School and married his high school sweetheart, Lynn. They have two boys, Blake a communications major at Texas Tech University and Brent, a student/athlete at Texas Christian University. In their spare time, the Collins family enjoys spending time outdoors, fly-fishing, snow skiing, riding horses and scuba diving.
